视角程序
The 视角程序 is a multi-year core program that offers courses for students who want to develop integrated answers to life’s enduring questions. Inspired by the Jesuit tradition of providing a humanist context for professional and scientific education, 透视课程旨在教育整个人, and to help students develop skills in critical thinking and practical living.
Course assignments and requirements are tailored and assessed according to the traditional liberal arts of Grammar, 逻辑学和修辞学:要求学生仔细阅读, 批判性的思考, 写作和说话清晰而有说服力.
The 视角程序 currently offers core courses that fulfill core philosophy and another core area of study: theology, 艺术与文学, 社会科学或自然科学.
Most of the students in the program are first year students from across the colleges who take Perspectives on Western Culture, 哲学和神学相结合的课程. The other three 视角程序 courses are Modernism and the Arts (philosophy, 文艺核心), Horizon of the New Social Sciences (philosophy and social science cores), and 新的科学视野 (philosophy and natural science cores).

通过多选一门透视课程, students can pursue a 视角浓度 towards either a major or a minor 在哲学. Students who complete three Perspectives courses will fulfill requirements for a minor 在哲学, 以及各种核心要求. 完成四门透视课程的学生, 外加两门哲学选修课, 符合主修哲学的要求.
